When one of my eBook distributors, StreetLib, contacted me last month and asked if I’d like to be interviewed on an Italian radio show and podcast about what it was like to work as a self-published author, I jumped at the chance.
I’ve long been an advocate for passing on information to other writers that might be considering the self-publishing route, so this was a great opportunity to reach out and help.
The hosts, Davide and Giorgio, were a lot of fun to work with and came up with some really good questions and ideas for the podcast to ensure we got as much information covered as we could within the programme’s timeframe.
The programme went out live last week and we covered topics that included how to write a captivating plot, tips for making a fiction story more realistic, and writing as a business. We also included a “Road Map” – a checklist of things to consider if you’re just starting out. Davide and Giorgio also couldn’t resist asking about some of Australia’s more deadly creatures!
