I'm really looking forward to having a chat with other writers next month at an author talk I'm doing at Caboolture library here in south-east Queensland.

I'll be sharing some of the best tips I was given while writing White Gold, as well as having a Question and Answer session. I'll be talking about what I've learnt over the past 18 months writing and marketing my first novel, and what I'm up to at the moment.

More information is available here.

Look forward to seeing you there!

One of the editors for Noir Nation has contacted me via my page at CrimeSpace.

Noir Nation is an ad-free biannual eBook journal of high quality international crime fiction that includes graphic novels, graphic art, essays, and author interviews. The Journal, optimized for Kindle, Nook, iPad, and other e-readers, "advances works of the literary imagination that explore the darker geographies of human experience".

They’d love to get some stories from Australia for Issue 2 of Noir Nation (Issue 1 is currently available). Alan says “We’re looking for short stories and graphic stories (comics). We start reading for issue 2 on 1st October”.

I had the chance to attend Natasha Zuvela’s book launch for her new title, “The Crocodile Effect” earlier this week.

Natasha was so absolutely terrified of snakes that she had a serious phobia for 25 years, but with a few key strategies she overcame them and became an Australia Zoo “Crocoseum” presenter handling snakes daily. She has now been a qualified venomous snake catcher for over 3 years! She has used her life experiences to produce her first book, “The Crocodile Effect”, to teach others the tools and techniques that will enable you to conquer any fear in your life and go for your dreams!

Visit Natasha’s website at www.natashazuvela.com for more details about this amazing woman!
